Samaritan’s Purse

Samaritan’s Purse is an organization dedicated to responding during crisis and disaster both internationally and in the United States.  They respond with needed supplies including cooking utensils, hygiene items, blankets, life saving food, medical supplies and emergency shelter.  In the United States Samaritan’s Purse dispatches disaster relief units and mobilizes and equips thousands of volunteers each year to provide emergency aid to victims of wildfires, floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, and other natural disasters. Lakeside Regional Church has responded to several major crisis situations including the destruction caused by severe flooding of the Missouri River in 2017 and Tornado destruction in the South.  In addition after Hurricane Katrina in 2005 Lakeside Regional Church independently responded with multiple trips to Biloxi Mississippi during which we adopted an extended family and helped them rebuild and repair several homes that were destroyed.  This was done without the support of the Rapid Response Team.

Samaritan’s Purse provides volunteers with training, living facilities, showers, food and all the guidance and support necessary to help you as a volunteer be effective in a coordinated effort to provide relief and support.  If you would like to learn more about how you can participate click on the link below:
